|Before you publish to PDF there are a couple of things you can do to optimize and embellish your PDF file. |
You can optimize your images before creating the PDF file to keep the file size down and you can embed fonts in your PDF file so that the end user does not have to have that font on their system in order to be able to see it. (Embedding fonts will increase the size of your PDF file). You can do all this from the Publish to PDF option under the File menu.
To compress images, go to File>Publish to PDF and click the objects tab. Choose JPEG from the compression list box and type a number from 2 to 255 in the Quality box.
To embed fonts, go to File>Publish to PDF and click the objects tab. Enable the Embed Fonts in Document check box and you're all set.
Click the general tab, browse to where you want to save the file, type in a file name and click Save.
