Flower – Illustrator CS3 Tutorial

In this tutorial we will show you how to create a flower with gradients colors in Illustrator.

 

First lets create the paths of the flower with the Pen Tool:
 

After that, lets apply a gradient color.

Then, select one of the petals, and fill it with a Radial Gradient.

After that, paint the rest of the petals:
 

Then, select the Multiply mode:

After that, create a filament, and fill it with a Linear Gradient.

Then, also select Multiply in the Transparency palette.

After doing so, make an ellipse and paint it with a gradient red/yellow color.

This is how its going to look like:

You can also duplicate the flower and lower its Opacity to generate this effect:
