To make this card begin with a dark brown background. Create a rectangle of tan or lighter brown. Apply Mosaic Tile filter at the settings of Tile Size 2, Grout Width 6, and Lighten Grout 10.
At this point apply Lighting Effects with the settings below and press OK.
Duplicate the rectangles x 3.
On a new layer below the rectangles, create a vertical rectangle smaller than the actual card. Fill with color below.
Use Modify and Contract set to 50. Delete the inside of the piece.
Apply Colored Pencil with the settings below to the inner frame. Change the layer mode to Luminosity.
Place an old photo or greeting card into the space between the top of the inner frame and the rectangles. Change the layer mode to Luminosity.
Apply Graphic Pen to the image. Fade to 40% Opacity. Apply through Layer Styles a stroke using the Eyedropper to select the color from the frame.
Create four rectangles behind the picture. I then duplicated those and moved them, then turned the layer modes to Linear Dodge for the copies.
Finally, I added a black frame to the outside of the inner frame. Then I found a font that would fit in with the old fashioned feel of the card and wrote in my wording I wanted on it. I called it finished.
