This tutorial will cover how to proceed to enhance a sky. Tutorial Includes project files.
We begin with this photo care of Photos.com.
Let's begin by selecting the Quick Selection Tool.
Carefully select the statue at the bottom of the screen.
Right-click on the selection and choose Layer via Copy.
On the background layer, use Invert Selection then use the Clone Tool to clone out the missed dark areas left over from the original statue selection.
We have the foreground statue save on it's separate layer.
On the background layer let's apply Lighting Effects using the 2 0'clock Spotlight and following the other changes.
Let's create a new gradient from opaque to transparent.
Drag vertically down about 3/4 of the way.
Open Hue/Saturation and crank up the Saturation.
Fade to Color Burn. Use Photo Filter>Deep Emerald.
Finally, apply the filter, Paint Daubs set to Brush Size of 20, Sharpness 7, and Brush Type: Wide Sharp. Fade to 80% Color Burn.
